I would like to view the lock & dam in operation letting a barge and tug go through. It would be helpful to visitors for a list of good places to eat in Demopolis. The hosts are very nice, helpful and friendly. The park is kept nicely.

Our third trip to Foscue. We lucked out and got #49 river front. Camp Host , Connie, called us on our way and let us know our spot was ready and we got checked in early. Ranger Ann Loper keeps a great crew on hand. Park was clean and well kept. Bathhouses were very well kept.

Foscue is a COE campground others should use as a standard to achieve. Sites are cleaned and ash removed prior to next arrival. Most sites can fit all types of RVs but check length to be sure. All sites are near level and hard surface. FHU but no laundry (like Gunter Hill and Issac Creek).

Site 49 Large Level site with gravel patio. Watching barges and other river activity was fun. Camp hosts are genuine and take pride in their park. First park to call you to notify me that the site was available earlier then check in. Keep up the great work!!

This was one of the nicest campgrounds (county, state, COE, national, private) that we have stayed at! Beautiful site, level, full hook up. Added benefit of being on a river with barge traffic to entertain us. Super friendly and helpful camp hosts. Would highly recommend!!

Wonderful stay, start to finish. Great hosts had my site cleaned and ready when I arrived early, and obviously spent a lot of time keeping the grounds and bathhouse clean and ready for guests: freshly cleaned bathroom when I checked in, and at 8 am. Great view of the river and its traffic. Just a great stay. I'll be back.

We forgot how much we loved Foscue. We had bypassed federal parks for a few years due to the inability of the government to keep proper funding forcing temporary closure of parks. We are back and this place rocks. Clean, well managed and a pure joy to stay at. This is one of the best C.O.E. parks in the system. We once again had a site on the waterway (49). There is just something about being close to the pages as they are pushed through the river. There is not a bad site at Foscue. Our favorites are on the waterway or the back loop. Groceries and shopping is close by. There are a few good restaurants in the area, a good size WalMart, plenty of parts and supply stores. Downtown Demopolis has a lot of history and is worth visiting, We will return again this next season and hopefully be able to stay longer.

We were on site 49 which like all of the sites has concrete pads and full hook up. Site 49 is on the water so that you can watch all of the barge and other boat traffic traveling up and down the river. If you like walking/hiking with or without your fur babies, there is plenty of opportunity in the campground. If you are into bike riding, this is a great campground with a trail inside the campground and the Spillway Falls trail down at the lock. It is a easy ride to the trail and the trail is between 3-4 miles long with a wide path and fine gravel making up the trail. Riding or driving down to the lock is a must see, and if you timed it right, you can see barges lock thru. Walmart, Tractor and Supply and other businesses are within a couple of miles. I would recommend the Red Barn, Mr G's and Jefferson's Country Store to visit and dine. The town of Demopolis is very active with several antebellum type homes that can be visited.

Absolutely beautiful and well maintained park. Site 49 will NOT disappoint! This is the best COE park we have ever visited. Staff are super friendly and gladly share info about the local area. All amenities are nearby including restaurants and shopping. Cell signal good as well.

Great place to stay. We only were able to stay one night traveling from Florida to Missouri. Host Bill called to let us know we could arrive early as site was clear. We werent able to arrive until 6:15 pm, but Bill and Sue used their golf cart to escort us to site 49. It was perfect as we watched river traffic. Bathrooms clean. They do offer firewood - $10 and $15 bundles.

Its always a great experience at Foscue Creek Campground. We received a call when our site was ready and we were able to arrive and set up a bit early. It was good to see that the crew was making improvements while we were there, removing dead trees and dead limbs. The camp hosts are always friendly, available and helpful. Love this place!
