Great campground and would be perfect if there was an electronic gate. Kind of disconcerting to realize you are locked in at night. Having grown up in the area and being familiar with emergency responders in rural areas, I know it would be quicker to drive to the hospital if needed, but you would have to call a number and wait for them to get to the gate to let you out if you needed out after 10 pm. We have camped at several different Corp of engineers campgrounds and they all have gates that can be accessed 24 hours a day and they are not nearly as nice as Foscue Creek. Large, well maintained sites and most with full hook-ups! Just a little nervous being locked in or out... If we had missed curfew on our family visits, we would have had to walk a long distance in the dark and left our vehicle parked on the side of the road. Great hiking trails nearby and plenty of places to eat close by if you don't want to prepare your own meals. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again, but cautiously.

We find that the park is nice and very clean. It seams to be kept up well. The only big problem we found was the water pressure. The water tower is just across the fence and it seems that with it being so close the water pressure would be better than a trickle. Maybe the water pressure could be turned up a bit and it would be great.

As always the entire area was spotless. The camp hosts all do a great job of really taking ownership and keeping the place clean. My wife used the trail system over by the spillway quite extensively and was extremely impressed with how clean and well maintained it was. The only recommendation I have is that the laundry rooms be reopened.

The receptionist was very polite and courteous. Showed us to our campsite area. Area was clean, user friendly amenities, the view was very beautiful. I look forward to visiting again. The only thing I would do differently is schedule my trip at lease 6-8 months prior so I can stay in the same location for the duration instead of having to move my RV around the campsite. Wonder place to visit!

Very clean and well managed. The staff was friendly and helpful. We originally booked for 6 nights, but since the tropical storm was arriving on the Saturday of checkout, we stayed another night. We visited the Lock and dam a few times and enjoyed those visits. Since the Black Warrior River was at flood stage, we had water on 3 sides of our site, but water was well below the site pad and drive. That helped with launching our kayaks. Walmart is only a few miles south of the park and was convenient as we made several trips. This CoE park will definitely be our favorite for some time!
