My campsite #47. Level ground. Has a little pier next to it, looking out at the river. Felt safe, clean, quiet. Laundry can be done there free. Bathrooms were clean. I really like this place. Nothing we can really do against red ants. That's my only complaint. I highly recommend this place.

We chose to camp on the hottest weekend of this year. Most all of the sites are well shaded and the breeze coming off of the river made it bearable. The campground was clean and well staffed we had an excellent time hanging out around the park. This is one of our favorite spots to camp and relax.

The campground is small, but most sites are waterfront with either a sunrise or sunset view. Bathrooms were clean and there's a free washer and dryer available. Hosts were super nice, and very vigilant as to what was going on. Sites were clean and well maintained, as were roads inside the campground. County roads leading into the place were not. I recommend you reduce speed and prepare to be bounced. Alot.

Lovely small campground with most sites backing up to water, decently spaced and plenty of shade. If you like fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, birding or just sitting and looking at the water, this is a great place for it. It is pretty far from any town or city so bring everything you need, including firewood.

We enjoyed a 2 wonderful nights at Prairie Creek. The beauty of the area and the waterfront camping on the Alabama River was exactly what we were looking for. The bathhouse is older and could use some TLC but overall we really enjoyed this campground!

This visit was my 41st sence 2009 so, I LOVE this campground. It's not a local park, 72 miles away but, it's so clean and the gate people are on the job from 7 to 7...go, you to will enjoy everything about Prairie creek campground.

Great place to camp. Host were very friendly and helpful even in these strange times. Eveything clean and well managed. Going back shortly.
