This has become my favorite campground. The sites our level and well kept, and not too close together, the host are very friendly, in fact, everyone who comes here is friendly. I highly recommend the Selma, Cemetery, and Old Cawhaba archaeology town. The river is great for those who fish, you can fish right from your site.

Enjoyed the riverside spot. I have the book "The Wright Guide to Camping with the Corps of Engineers ". Book tells me there is swimming but the information received at check in say there is not a beach. I was disappointed. Here in Kentucky, most COE campgrounds have beaches.

It was much farther out from any stores or gas stations then I knew. Bathrooms were clean but park needs to be updated. My site was beautiful and would recommend to anyone who wants total seclusion and has all food items needed while there.Probably would not stay there again.

Gate hosts were very friendly. The park is well laid out and many sites are very long. Views at almost every site are exceptional. Cost for seniors is great. Only drawback is the RR crossing getting to the park. It will easily scramble your cabinet contents.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed at. I just completed a 60-day cross-country trip. I stay in the Corps of Engineers campgrounds, state parks, and private RV resorts.. This is by and far the best campground. Well maintained, nice sites, clean facilities etc.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed at. I just completed a 60-day cross-country trip. I stay in the Corps of Engineers campgrounds, state parks, and private RV resorts.. This is by and far the best campground. Well maintained, nice sites, clean facilities etc.

Grass Mowed, clean. They keep the streets clean and campsites are cleared with a leaf blower before a new camper comes in. We have been here 3 times in the last 9 months and it has always been a good experience.

Prairie Creek is a hidden gem! It is off the beaten path and such a reprieve from the busyness of our lives. Slots are level, most cement, one section was gravel. Waterfront slots are worth the beautiful views. There is a basketball court, plenty of roads for biking, and a boat ramp. Some slots even have their own boat dock/pier. There were two bathhouses with two showers and three stalls, both were clean. Cell service for Verizon was a bit spotty, just enough to make a call/text. But that was fine, we needed to 'unplug'! We will be going back for sure!

Very well kept area, even while still cleaning up from recent storms. Lots of shore fishing areas and if you have a small boat there are lots of areas to explore. Had good verizon at 2 bars.

Prairie Creek was a very pleasant surprise. There really aren't any bad sites in this campground. Lots of beautiful trees and shaded sites. Very quiet and not crowded during the week, but it filled up for the weekend. But still, very quiet and considerate campers. I would say the only downside is that cell phone coverage isn't good enough to provide good Internet through Mobile Hotspot. But, great place to go for a relaxing camping experience. We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful setting on lake. Great large concrete campsites next to the lake.
