Had a great trip! Campsite was nice and neighbors were friendly. I have camped at Prairie Creek many times before and have always had an enjoyable experience.

Saw many deer just outside the campground entrance. Great place for wildlife viewing.

Very nice campground. I've camped there over a dozen times and have not had a bad experience. During scheduled hunts at the Lowndes WMA (right across the slough) 80 % of the campers will be hunters. Otherwise many campers will be fishermen. Not much to do activitywise around Prairie Creek but the streets are level and good for walking and bicycle riding. Bath houses are old but are kept clean. Plenty of hot water for showers. No sewer hookups available.

Nice campground. Old but clean and well kept bathhouse. Grounds and facilities are in good order.

Campground was almost full with many children so was somewhat noisy. Campers next to us let their dogs roam free part of the time (two were pit bulls). Over all, we had a good experience. I often recommend this campground. Good for hunters and fishermen.

Always have loved coming to Prairie Creek to camp. Beautiful scenery on the banks of the Alabama River. However had an encounter with the front office which really was unnecessary so I cannot give it the recognition it deserves.
