Nice setting on the confluence of the Alabama River & Prairie Creek. Only $13 night for water & electric hookups with our NPS Senior Pass. Level site in Eagles Nest section, Very quiet midweek. Bathhouse clean & serviceable but bit shabby with rusty handdriers etc.

Just did a quick overnight but nice, quiet park ( at least in the winter). Site was a short pull thru but adequate and fairly level. Restroom/showers were ok but fairly clean. Pretty scenery and right on the lake

Solo traveling with 2 golden retrievers and stopped over during Thanksgiving for a few days. Great family atmosphere, friendly people, good for dogs. Enjoyed watching the birds and otters in the river, peaceful. Groups of people camping together for the holiday. I've never thought to camp during Thanksgiving so may give that a go next year with some friends. Really liked this place and would stay again. No Verizon service at all unless you drive up to the entrance, so that is the only drawback.
