Beautiful, well-kept campsites, most with water frontage.

The campground is very well kept, almost every site has a water view. Wish that there was sewer available at each site as we were there a week. Bath house was clean but could use a plumbers touch with leaky showers. TAKE EVERYTHING YOU WANT WITH YOU, one Dollar General 20 minutes away and NOTHING else for miles. We were warned ahead of time, so we were prepared. There are no sights to see around in the area, so plan on just campground activities. That said, we enjoyed our stay because we were told before we came and planned accordingly.

The park was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. It was a very peaceful, serene getaway! The staff was very friendly and helpful!

We camp here all the time. More often than most. So that tells you how much we LOVE it. I would have gave 5 stars but only did 4 bc it really sucked when we were told our kids could not ride their ride on toys for my 3 yr old while walking with us. I get the reason behind it but it still sucks the Littles cant have fun with the rest of the kids.

Prairie Creek is our home away from home. We love it. It is incredibly beautiful.

Staff was very friendly and informative for us as first time visitors. The site we had was excellent backed up to the Alabama river. Unfortunately it rained most of our visit, but that can't be helped some days. We'll definitely consider this location again in the future.

A beautiful campground with mostly waterfront (River or Lake) sites. This was such a peaceful place. Bathrooms were convenient and clean with plenty of hot water. Lots of boat docks, boat ramp, fish cleaning station. A great park for fishing, biking and walking. Bring your own firewood or call ahead to see if they are selling it again. We will be back.

Alabama CoE campgrounds are some of the best and Prairie Creek was right at the top. Super friendly staff, beautiful settings, and long, level pads. Nice walking trails as well. Very close to Montgomery AL if you wanted to see the sites there.
