This is a beautiful campground, more scenic and less crowded than those around it. The park attendant Rick was just incredible! He helped us with one thing or another almost every day, whether it was site selection, fixing a broken washing machine, advising particulars of nearby campgrounds, on and on. I am so glad to have found Hardridge and to have him and his wife there to help campers. It is just too bad that the park closes for 6 mos. in the winter.

Beautiful place on lake Eufaula. We stayed in site 39. Wonderful view! We rode our bikes around the park and it was neat and clean. The Camp Host was very kind and informative. Just beware of ANTS! I would pretreat your site before you even pull in it. Lesson learned.

Pirates Cove was a beautiful one-night stopover on our way south to the Gulf. Lake views on both sides and the pull-through was extra convenient since we were towing a vehicle. High marks except for the old curmudgeon fella at the gate. He had a really bad attitude and was grumpy. For example, when I asked if he was having a good day he replied I was until you pulled into the wrong lane to check-in. Another example, when I told him I wasnt sure if we needed to check-in he replied you check into hotels, why wouldnt you check in here too?. This was the first time for us to this area and to this particular campground. Poor attitude for the ONE person we interacted with that represented the place. Suppose it was easier for him than being nice and welcoming. Absolutely gorgeous place. If you come, I hope you wont have to be met by this man.

First time camping here and from the start we had a great experience! We unfortunately had some bad weather with flooding that forced us to move from our original site but they were very determined to find a comparable site that would accommodate our desire to fish. Sites were well maintained and small patches of trees provided just enough privacy between sites. We will definitely be back!

Stayed one night, campground was very nice and clean. Helpful staff at checkin. Air conditioned shower and laundry which is a nice plus. Pull thru site 22 was nice and level with great water views on both sides.

Great campground! Weve been twice now and it was so peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to unwind and relax. We rode bikes, had a campfire and just let go of any stress. Will absolutely be back.

We enjoyed our three nights stay on Pirates Cove. Even though sewer wasnt available on this site the scenery of water on both sides of our camp site was amazing!

Great campground! Everyone was exceptionally nice. The lake is beautiful. I will definitely go back. With that said, there are LOADS of ants so be prepared to spray your rv, truck and everything you take. We keep a sprayer with us and use as needed inside and out so we dont take home any unwanted guests.

Disappointed in conditions of campsites and general area of Hardridge CreekCampsite was littered with trash- pop-tops, saw blades, used batteries and plastic bottle caps (i picked up and disposed of). Fire pit and grill had not been cleaned out in a long while, grass was in need of cutting which was finally done, All Campsites were littered with limbs and debris all over park. They finally cleaned up spaces at front of park before weekend but neglected the rest of the areas, Observed contractor ( Anderson Company ) cruising area but doing nothing- with fishing pole hanging out of back of company truck. Contractor cutting grass invaded our campsite and slung rocks and debris on us - did not acknowledge us- ask us to move- or give any explanation. I also observe a beer bottle that had been discarded on the ground close to the bathroom. Next day when the grass was cut they broke the bottle but neglected to pick up glass. I am very disappointed as this is one of our favorite parks and hope this message is passed . This has not been a one trip observation - it has steadily went down.

Camp a Hardridge Creek very often. Campsites are maintained well, but not as well as it once was. This is the reason for the 4 *. This however, will not determine if I returned again. I always take a blower with me to remove the debri from the site. Be sure to take some sort of ant spray with you, because they are everywhere and will take over your camper. Just a little information for your stay, but don't let it discourage you. It's is a beautiful Park.
