Always excellent stay, nice host's and and great park. Had to leave early because of inclement weather and was refunded without asking. Will be back, hopefully this summer.

Our stay at the park was very nice! Staff helpful and friendly. Spaces are large, and level. We were very pleased, will return.

I highly recommend Forkland campground. My site was spacious, level and clean. I was at the edge of the creek, with shade. The camp host was beyond friendly, and so were the other campers that I encountered. I like that the campground locks the gates at 10pm, and people coming and going are monitored. One of my favorite things is the hiking trail. The campground needs to advertise this great trail more. Also, the brush at the edge of the creek needs to be cleared more, to enable good views from the campsites. Visit nearby Forkland and see the historic church, St. Johns-in-the-Prairie, the cemetery there, as well as the old Methodist cemetery. There are also plantation homes nearby and in Demopolis.

This place is excellent to bring small children for the playgrounds and amenities that they have on site. The people who volunteered at the camp were on top of things, super nice and very helpful. Personally, I was trying to find a good spot for primitive/dispersed camping and did not look too much into the place before deciding to camp there. This place is primarily for RV camping and is not the place to visit for adult solo camps or hammock camping. You definitely have to reserve your spot ahead of time and if you have AT&T, you may not be able to get through while on site. I give 5 stars for cleanliness, amenities, accessibility, kid friendliness, and service. Not too good on bank fishing, but if you’re bringing a boat (awesome landing and parking) or kayak, it’s perfect for that. If you get a slot close to water access, you’ll be in good shape. All in all, the place isn’t my style, because I’m more into roughing it, but I’m sure for most people it’s an A1 RV camping spot.
