Always make sure you're prepared for ANYTHING while camping ANYWHERE! You may not be fortunate enough to have a park attendant like Rick Watson where you're camping. Rick became mine and my family's new best friend during this camping trip to White Oak Creek campground. We were traveling with a new 36' travel trailer with 3 slides. The spot we reserved was not accommodating to our camper, or my backing skills; Rick to the rescue! He moved us to another spot that worked. We stayed until the day of check-out and low and behold, our main slide would not operate to slide IN. We were stuck, until; Rick to the rescue! He came down and offered advice, recommendations for mobile repair services, tools, and moral support until we were able to get packed up and pull out! I imagine Rick could have just as quickly told us, "Hey bud, you guys gotta go." Such is not the character of this gentleman! He was there and did everything possible to assist and support us during the entire fiasco. He even let us know he was looking forward to us returning (what's wrong with this guy?! LOL!). Anyway, all's well that ends well. The part has been ordered to repair the slide and as soon as we can get our daughter's wedding behind us, we'll be back! While Rick may not agree, my family and I hope that he's on duty during our next visit. Rick Watson is the standard by which all park attendants should be measured. Like I said, he's my new best friend and I hope he can at least tolerate us on our future visits to White Oak Creek. Excellent campsites. Excellent facilities. Excellent attendant in Rick and his lovely wife. I can, without hesitation, HIGHLY recommend White Oak Creek campground based on the overall experiences we have enjoyed there; even taking into consideration the pitfalls that no one could see coming and the way that we were able to address them with the understanding and support provided by Rick. Thank you, and see you again soon!
