The park itself is very nice. The gate keepers seem a little bit too much. The old timer that was working seems to take his job pretty serious, to the point where he is kind of rude and in friendly. Also, the fact the park has a locked gate that must be opened by security for emergencies only after hours seems ridiculous. I mean if the park wants to be that secure I believe a gate code or a combination lock should be in place for people who do not want to be confined like a prisoner between 10pm and 7am. Other wise the campground itself is very nice.

The campground is very nice, except for the tiny black sugar ants that can get into everything. The ants were a plague, getting into our RV and crawling over our beds. The Corps of Engineers should treat all the sites with an insecticide like Triazicide to kill the ant colonies. It would make the experience much more enjoyable. Another thing - one of the camp hosts, Bob, was inexcusably ugly to a disabled member of our group. Because of a previous mix-up about replacing my relative's disability pass with a senior pass, Bob accused my disabled relative of being a criminal, asked "who deemed you disabled?", and said he would call the County Sheriff to make an arrest. After escalating the problem two or three levels over the course of three days, a Corps employee eventually came to us and delivered the proper replacement card with apologies. Bob should be removed from any customer-facing position. He should be encouraged to seek other, more appropriate employment. He really left us with a bad taste in the mouth.

Very friendly camp hosts. Very knowledgeable about local spots. Grass trimmed, very clean sites throughout. Will return again for longer stay.

This is a wonderful place to camp. Friendly people and clean campground. The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. Dogs love to walk and go to the dog park. We go there every fall and will continue. Clean restrooms
