Clean, comfortable, and well-appointed camp spots on the "quiet side" of the island. We really enjoyed staying here!

Well kept campground with decent bathrooms. Sites are close together. The pad size provided more than enough room without disturbing the surrounding area. This walk to site was fairly easy to find using the map provided at check in. Would stay again.

Plain vanilla National Park campground. Facilities were clean. The tent-only hike-in campsites were disappointingly close to each other... like I could not help being part of the neighboring campsite's conversations and it can get a little loud when 5 campsites close together are all talking. If you're looking for a "secluded" camping experience... this is not it. Easy 10-15 minute walk to the Seawall and ocean where the night sky really pops. I came in mid-July and I swear I only saw one mosquito in 3 days. Do they spray for them or something? Was completely shocked by the absence of mosquitos.

Having never visited the park, we were worried the walk from the parking lot (we were in loop D) to the campsite would be long, but it wasn't, and we probably had the longest hike of anyone in the loop. It was about 50 meters. The facilities were spic-n-span and the Rangers were incredibly helpful. Our boy can't wait to go back.

The site was small, had fallen, dry and rotted trees. Compared to other sites it was small, and littered with stumps and downed trees. Very disappointed.

Campground and facilities were very nice and clean. I wished the site was a tiny bit bigger as I was a bit afraid of embers from the fire pit blowing onto my tent.

Pros:-close to the beach-bathrooms are very close to campsites-bus stop at the main entranceCons:-no privacy at all. Some tents from different sites were just a couple feet from each other. -no showers. I dont know whythey are common at other National Parks campgrounds.

Great location for Acadia; good amenities. Some of the plots are a little close together, but D37 and the adjacent D38 were better isolated than some of the sites closer to the toilets. The only real complaint we had was the amount of mosquitoes - there was a large pool of standing water near the toilets, which probably contributed substantially to the local mosquito population.
