Clean fairly well kept. One lonely ranger at the gate. Did not see any other anywhere. Budget cuts are obvious (sad). No showers in the campground but one storefront about 1/2 a mile down the road claims to have showers. Did not try it

Wish I knew where I could have filled freshwater tanks. New to RVing and I know now where to go to fill them. Great experience quiet and relaxing will be returning again!

Nice and quiet campground. Everyone was friendly. No hookups but we already knew that. I wish checkout was a bit later than 10am. Overall great experience.

We stayed while they had their COVID spacing, so each camper had 2 campsites to sprawl out on. Saw deer everyday from our campsite. Location is close to Bass Harbor, Ship Harbor and Bennet Cove; just a short drive to Acadia Mountain or Long Pond; a little further drive to get to Cadillac Mountain and Bar Harbor. The hikes in ANP are spectacular, Precipice is a must-do if physically able, as well as Beehive and Acadia Mountain...the views can't be beat. Also, get the Cadillac Mountain tickets, available on Recreation.gov 48 hours prior, to see the sunset. We got the 5PM tickets and picnicked for an hour and a half until sunset, which was absolutely breathtaking. The Seafood Ketch in Bass Harbor is a nice place for fresh seafood with harbor views and nice patio seating. The times that we went there, the harbor was busy with activity, which added to the ambience.

Beautiful campground in Acadia. Close to some easy trails for young kids or older folks. All the park staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Was there with two kids in an RV and had the greatest experience. It's a little far from the 'main' attractions, but don't be fooled! This side of the island is beautiful too and with less crowd!
