This campground is beautiful. You can hear the ocean waves as you fall asleep. The campground is nestled in the woods near the ocean. While not directly located on the rocky shoreline, it is just a short walk or drive to the shore. The sites are walk-in, so pack light or use some wheels to get your stuff in and out. The walk to and from your vehicle is not long: probably about a city block or less. The drive to the main portion of Acadia is indeed 20+ minutes and more with traffic. But, it's gorgeous and worth it.

We really enjoyed our camping spot in loop D, site D43. The structure is well-made, and the staff is always available and ready to answer any questions we have. Its a fantastic place to stay, and the quality of service adds to the overall experience.

A little more removed from the main part of Acadia but a lovely atmosphere and felt more authentic. We had a drive up site and while it was less convenient to have the car removed from our site it made the ambiance better, more in nature, the ground was soft and very comfortable. The sites are a little close together and we were able to hear our neighbors pretty clearly. Overall, one of the best campsites Ive stayed at in Acadia!

My husband and I ADORE Seawall Campground and go here every year. We stay at the same site on the same days for our annual vacation. The sites are a good size, fire pits are well maintained, the bathrooms are extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. Dumpsters for recycling and trash are at the ready, as are wheelbarrows to help trek your goods in. Everything about staying here is magical. The ocean is at the end of the driveway, and Wonderland hiking trail is down the road. You will never, EVER be disappointed when staying here.
