The Seawall campground is incredibly well cared for and the bathrooms were very clean. The free firewood was a great idea but the uncovered cut and split wood was rendered useless due to the daily rain.
Check the weather when you plan on seeing the sun rise on Cadillac Mountain. It is well worth the early morning start! Remember that you need a vehicle permit again this year.
Steer clear of Bar Harbor as the parking is near impossible after 10:00AM even if you don't mind a long walk. This was the situation, even on a week day with no holidays.
Some of the Carriage Roads were still closed due to storm damage but there are so many other trails that this was not a big issue.
If you stay at Seawall you will find that part of the Park is much more relaxed with very nice small towns and country stores.
