We loved everything about Acadia. Kayaking at Long Pond and the drive up Cadillac Mountain were both highlights. Camping was great too and pet friendly. Kacey my puppy even got her Bark Ranger badge. Helpful info would be to plan ahead if camping. This was a last minute trip and felt very lucky to be able to get campsites at the last minute. But there were not a lot left, so glad I booked ahead of time. I am already planning my next trip back. Advice - just go!

Beautiful location, nice campgrounds. Stayed in Loop C with a tent as was the only slot open. Next time will try one of the tent only loops. Clean facilities, friendly environment and close to Wonderland, as well as town for easy supply of goods and restaurants/coffee shops.

The campground was clean and neat. All the spots seemed to have privacy, and mix of sun and shade. Rangers were very kind and helpful. The picnic area at the entrance to the park was the best. One of the best locations on the rocks that we encountered. Great place for morning and evening viewing. Also, a great quiet location. Loved being close to the activities in Acadia, but on the quiet side for camping. All in all an exceptional experience.

Appreciated the helpful gatekeeper who checked us in and answered all my questions. We arrived just after sunset but got situated easily. Despite the sites being close, we didn't feel like it was too infringing. We had to level on our site C27, but it was nice to be at the end of the row. Recommend. Also D loop was closed, and it made for a great place to walk the dogs. It was quite serene, folks were friendly, and we would definitely return here.
