Terrible experience during my stay. I drove 20 hours away from noisy city and crowded streets to get rest in Acadia park at Seawall Campground. I was so happy and excited it was my first time in Acadia. BUT Unfortunately it didnt happened. As we knew Seawall road was damaged by storm and during our stay it was a road work scheduled to fix this damage. I understand it absolutely has to be done but nobody ever notified us or send any emails to say it will be a ROAD WORK right behind your camp site B loop site 13 for one week ???? So workers would start around 6:00 am to 7 pm and run VERY heavy equipment like huge escalators move stone and digging asphalt. I was hearing every noise for 10 hours a day. So disappointed and upset because couldnt get rest or sleep. I said something to our ranger they didnt know what to say.I was offered another site in C loop and A loop to move my camp after checking them out I wasnt empress C loop didnt have any privacy at all site was right close to road. We didnt have a cabin with walls or tv running to stop this noise. We left 2 days early and found a motel room I could at least sleep before I drive back home. So upset and completely disappointed. Why nobody says something I could simply reschedule my trip to Acadia seawall campground. Why nobody cares? why workers start that early literally 6 am in the morning you hear huge escalator is moving right where you try to sleep and rest. Our original stay was 9 days we left two days early because I knew I wont make it home after camping in construction site in Acadia park without any good rest or sleep. Driving back 20 hours without good rest can put you in danger.

I really liked that the campsites didnt bleed into each other - each was truly its own site! The bathrooms were nice and clean, readily available water nearby as well as plenty of dumpsters. Would camp here again!

Showed up late but had good instructions with what to do at the registration booth. Went to the booth in the am to check in and get park passes. The ranger was super helpful and friendly. She also gave me a vetrins pass for national parks, I didn't know was a thing. Totally could have used that on my previous trips to the smoky mountains, kitty hawk, new national park in Ohio, skyline drive, exc. But now that I have the pass I'm so super excited about it. I'm very grateful that she knew about the vetrins program. Will use it for the rest of my life. Thanks. Unfortunately I don't remember the rangers name to give her a shout out.

Great campground with less traffic than the north Acadia area... due to CoVid, 1/2 the campsites were closed making for a quiet stay and free firewood! You can hear the ocean waves at night. The nearby Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is a must-see...
