Great location for hiking all around Acadia. The facilities were clean and well maintained, even though the park was busy. the park rangers are around working every day. The only negative is that they don't have showers which we did not realise until we arrived there.

Nice campground overall, with large sites, but the whole experience feels like a trip back in time. Lots of room for vehicles, less attention paid to humans. No water close to sites, inadequate washroom facilities, and an antiquated reservation system that results in empty sites despite full bookings.

Blackwood Campground was well maintained, had clean restrooms, provided enough privacy. I stayed for 5 nights and had an awesome time. Acadia has a lot to offer.

The campground was fine, but we would have liked showers and to have been closer to the beach/ocean.

Great location with fairly good privacy between spots. Bathrooms were very clean and site was well maintained. Our only wish is that we could have booked more time.
