The campground was clean and quiet. Everyone was respectful and the park staff and rangers went out of their way to keep the campground and bathrooms in order and to help campers when needed.

Such a great spot. Bathrooms are indeed very clean. Was told by a maintenance employee that the water tap by the bathroom is drinkable (June 2022). Bring a grill top since the grill for the pit doesnt go across all the way, and is missing a rung. Perhaps even a propane grill for the table would be good. Bug spray! There are mosquitos everywhere. Wish I got to check out Lubec, ME.

We were there during the Perseids meteor shower and I discovered (completely by accident as it's not well marked) a walkway to rocks on the shoreline which made a perfect place to view the stars.
If you're tent camping, bring a pad or something similar on which to sleep. Our tent site was covered in small rocks.
The location is great since it's right off the public highway that bisects the park, but, be warned, there are no showers (there are pay showers across the road from the entrance to the park) or other amenities beyond toilets.

Restrooms are clean and well maintained; all of the personnel are friendly and knowledgable ( at least the ones I came in contact with! )
