We have camped at Blackwoods campground yearly for over 20 years and this year was as good as any year so far

I had an awesome time! I experienced solo female suv/tent camper for 3 nights and I never felt unsafe for one second. The rangers and ambassadors were phenomenal for giving me tips and ideas for things to do, places to see, how to avoid the crowds, secret spots to enjoy the park! It was fabulous and I didnt want to leave. Acadia has a piece of my heart forever! Thanks so much to all who work there!

We planned to stay for 5 nights, right after we set up, we got a call about a family emergency. We spent 18 hours in Acadia before we had to drive home. Wonderful as always!! The walk to the rocks from loop A was and always is the best!!

Not sure why they decided to start cleaning the bathrooms at 0700 in the morning when most people are getting up to start the day.....and seems like there's no ranger in the area after 10pm

Loved camping on the last day of the season with the fall colors. Able to make a reservation the morning of our stay.

Acadia was an odd national park where you don't feel quite as remote or wild as you do in many of the others, but that has its advantages such as the dozens of houses where you can pull up, drop a few dollars in a box and take some firewood, or the 5 minute drive to a 24 hour coin operated hot shower. To capture some of that rugged feeling, I cannot recommend enough renting some e-bikes (or regular bikes if you spent the pandemic doing something other than playing video games and binge watching television) and exploring the carriage trails. The relative quiet and lack of cars, plus the views you won't see from anywhere else, were what made this, my 21st national park, feel special and unique. That and the beehive trail with its built in ladders which was a bit scary but still totally manageable even for the noodle person that I have atrophied into.
