Beautiful campground, with easy pull through sites for RVs/ travel trailers. Plenty of privacy from other sites, with nice amenities. Close to so many trails and Bar Harbor. Definitely will return.

One of our favorite campgrounds! We stayed in 2 different campsites here and both felt like they had privacy from neighbors. The bathrooms were in excellent condition and all of the rangers were so helpful and pleasant during our stay! We loved that we could walk to the ocean as well!

Overall this was a great campground. Facilities were clean and well taken care of. Of course, the beauty of Acadia is hard to beat and the carriage roads were great for a couple of older bikers. The one draw back was the site that we were assigned. Site 47 in loop A was long enough for our camper and truck, but was so narrow that my mirrors and camper scraped through the vegetation on both sides in order to park. I had to pull in far to the right so that I could open my rather small slide without hitting small trees. The site itself was a built up area of sand and gravel in the middle of a swamp area. The picnic table and fire pit area was a small bump out into the swamp that was so small we couldn’t park our bicycles side by side. In order to get to the bathroom we either had to duck underneath the brush and shrubs at the back of the camper or go out the front of the site and cut through a couple of empty sites. Every other site in our area was much larger, dryer, and more comfortable. I’m not sure why, with about 50% of the sites closed for social distancing, they would leave this on open. It was definitely the worst site in our area of the park. Enjoy Acadia, but don’t stay at A47 if you can help it.
