Excellent location with beautiful old forested sites. Great hiking trails. Would definitely come again.

Campsite was perfect! Amazing location and great views in the park. If your looking for a budget friendly option in an areas that continues to get more expensive this is the spot. It means compromising a little bit for showers but there are coin operated showers just outside the camp ground.

Love this campground so much! It has the perfect location on the island, so its super close to the best hikes in Acadia. The facilities are kept clean. It rained our first night, and the restrooms were cleaned up the next day. The staff and park rangers are the best! Be sure to share your snacks at check-in; they really appreciate it!

Incredibly beautiful campground with well managed facilities. I particularly appreciated the grey water dump stations at each bathroom for after doing dishes. The sites can be a bit close together and the RVs and tents don’t seem to be segregated so that might be an issue for some.

We camped over Labor Day weekend and it was a great experience. We hiked each day from trails surrounding the campground and took the shuttle a couple times into town as well. Showers and firewood were easily accessible. Facilities were well maintained.
