We had a great time at Acadia National Park campground. Our site was a little tight for our 26' travel trailer, but we made it work! Plenty of over flow parking for our guests that joined us for a few days. The campsite was slightly wooded - just fine for the amount of time we were there which was 7 nights. Bathrooms were always clean. Acadia is absolutely beautiful and all the park rangers we talked to were extremely helpful and easy to tell that they all had experienced the park. Hiking trails were well marked - loved the paved trail at Cadillac Mtn and all the informational signs. Beehive was fabulous, even for this 64 year old! A little hidden gem was Compass Harbor - short easy hike to the coastline - stunning views and the sound of the waves rolling over the golf ball size rocks was mesmerizing! The park is so diverse with it's coastal shores, inland lakes, forested areas, mountains, sandy beach. We only saw a small portion of the western side of the park, but enjoyed that as well. Went to Schoodic Peninsula for a day and loved it too. Worth the drive! Acadia is definitely in my top five National Parks! Almost forgot - we only hiked a few of the carriage roads, but they were lovely!!!

We loved the fact that we could hike from the campground to Gotham Mountain and Sand Beach and Cadillac Mountain. The bathrooms were nice and very clean. We wished for showers!
