Very nice campground, although some sites are not very private. Tent sites tend to be better. We stayed in our small camper in A35 and A32, both great. No showers and outside showers are prohibited. We did use the commercial shower place just down the road. It was ok, $2.00 for a marginally hot shower once and warm the other time. Better than nothing! The Lobster dinner at the Otter Creek Store was wonderful, take out only.
Good hiking right from the campsite and can bike to the carriage roads.

We stayed 2 nights at 2 different sites. Check-in and checkout were easy. The sites were wooded and flat, and there were excellent bathroom facilities nearby at both sites. Very quiet campsites at night. Also inside Acadia National Park, and convenient to all the attractions there + the lovely town of Bar Harbor. Would definitely stay again. A bargain!

The quietest darkest campground I have ever stayed at. Would have loved to have electricity but would stay again

The campsite was nice and had easy access to the ocean and other trails. There is a back way for the loop bus to drop you off and a front way to take the bus to bar Harbor. A great experience.

Acadia is wonderful, but if you can visit when there are fewer people - during late autumn and early spring. Even post-Covid the amenities are wonderful, especially the bus service which can take you (From Blackwoods) to Bar Harbor and/or into the heart of the park. In our two days we hiked to the ocean, visited the nature center, hiked a long boardwalk through groves of forest, meadows and marshes, dined and shopped in Bar Harbor and more - without driving anywhere. Our site was a bit difficult to access with our trailer (short 20-foot GeoPro) but we managed. The site was quiet and well-tended, though surprised to find no showers. We're outdoors people but this is 2021 - wifi is a necessity of life, not an amenity.

Acadia is beautiful and camping there makes it all the better.
