Nice site, and good campground. Easy to hike Cadillac mtn right from camp. Showers right outside gate were convenient. The bathrooms had no soap or dispensers. That needs changed.

Campground was great. Kids loved hiking Beehive and Dorr Mountain. Wife loved Bar Harbor. Second year at Blackwoods and looking forward to next year.

Beautiful wooded site. Short walk to excellent trails. Nice, clean restroom facilities.

This is the best national park camp ground i have been to, its clean, organized, well marked and easily accesible to Bar Harbor and Arcadia Park interesting spots. I definitely will come here again in the future.
It even has a bus system to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It a must in the your list

Great campsite. Quiet in the evening. Personnel were excellent. Hiked both sea and mountains and it was great.

Acadia NP campgrounds are the only CGs in the nation where I experienced a 10 AM CHECKOUT — as a full-time nomad of over 2yrs & hundreds of CG visited the typical time is 11am across the US. It’s uncomfortable as you have to change your break camp routine by an hour & feel cheated!

Excellent campsite. Restrooms very clean. Family called me about Uncle who was deathly ill. Received message and capmground staff was very accomodating in helping me make contact with my family.

Biggest issue was finding the campground! At the Park Center, it should be explained that you have to go into Bar Harbor, then leave it again by a state road before getting back into the park. However, campground is well run, clean, and the shuttle great!
