Things I would improve: I cut my knee on a rock that had a sharp jutting edge on the top of it (loop B site 20). I'm not sure how to improve - maybe color it with neon paint? Regarding recycling, it was ambiguous whether it was done. To improve - have separate containers, labelled for type of garbage. Bus service was unexpected and great. Loved not having to drive! Also, it was wonderful to have walking trails to Otter Cove and the ocean (through loop A). Trail to Cadillac Mt was nearby too - great! Water - tasty and convenient. Everyone was kind, patient and helpful. Campground was kept clean. Thank you! Proud of our national parks!

The Blackwoods Campground was neat and tidy and the bathrooms were fairly well maintained. The ranger working the entrance desk was very helpful and cheerful to interact with when we checked in. We found our space to be clean and well maintained and the camping area was fairly quiet, even though it happened to be busy that night. It was an easy drive from Beehive Trail and other main trails at Acadia. We will certainly stay here again!

Given the almost outrageous prices of hotels in the area, camping in the national park provides an affordable means of visiting the park for multiple days. It also allows a greater connection to the natural wonders of the area. There are naturalist programs to enjoy during the evenings and the campground is within walking distance of a coastal trail that offers great views and a pleasant stroll along the rocky shore.
