Nicely located right in the middle of the park. The convenience of being able to park your car right next to your tent site is a nice perk! Unfortunately the rocky ground made for an uncomfortable night sleep. We were also quite slanted which wasn’t ideal. Overall, decent campsite for our one night.

The campground is beautiful, the rangers are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The campground provides easy on foot access to hiking trails and a section of rocky coastline. It is conveniently located within the Acadia National Park, near the Loop Road and within easy driving distance of all attractions and about 15 minutes drive from Bar Harbor. Note there is no hot running water or showers on site, but coin operated showers are available five minutes drive away in nearby Otter Creek. It was a wonderful place to stay, and we would absolutely stay there again.
