Blackwoods Campground is so wonderfully located for enjoying Acadia National Park. The campground is well-maintained, the camper rules are followed, and the rangers are friendly. It was a great place to camp for 4 days!

Nice area, easy to navigate, highly recommend. Lots of fire wood available close to camp site.

We were given site 47 which was wedged between two swamps. Picnic table sat in the swamp partially. Than it rained a lot. We had a river running down the middle of the site. We asked to be moved but were ignored and told it would get better in the afternoon, it didn't. There were many sites closed due to Covid it would have been easy to move us.
The rest rooms had soap dispensers off or hanging off the wall. No cell service.

We didn't know for sure what day we would be in the area, so we did not book a campsite in advance of our vacation. As we got closer to Acadia National Park, we eventually figured out what day we'd be there, but we figured it was going to be crowded and we'd have no chance of getting a reservation. We lucked out! We literally got the very last campsite available, we must have logged on at just the right moment, three days in advance of arrival. So be sure to check the info on when reservations are available. It was a great site. Level, near the clean bathroom, in a lovely woodland and not too close to neighboring campsites, if you kind of like a bit of privacy. They're close, but you're not right on top of each other. We had great neighbors next to us, they came over and said hello when they saw our license plate and realized we were from the same home state. Excellent place.

Very nice park. Campsite was fine, not too closed in. One of our party got misdirected and the staff was very helpful when we were trying to locate, even at ‘closing’ time. All worked out. Would have stayed longer if site had been available
