This was our fourth time staying in this campground and as always it was clean, well-maintained, and staffed by very friendly and helpful rangers. We love the walk down to the ocean to watch the sunrise right from the campground!

Excellent location and washrooms being flushable. Worth the drive and if you are doing the sunrise and the loop on cadalliac. Its definately worth camping at blackwoods

The Blackwoods campsite park rangers and volunteers were very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The park was clean and well maintained.

I had some trouble with booking the site for my family. I have a 9 people in my family ; me and wife and 7 children. We travel in a 15 passenger van 19-feet. The sites only accommodate 6 people and 2 tents. It was hard to find 1 site let alone 2 sites, which is what I thought I had to do since we have 9 people.

I was happy to learn from the ranger that was acceptable for groups of immediate family, parents and children to all stay in the same site, and have 3 tents, if the vehicle was parked in the overflow lot. This is good to know, because it is not published on Recreation.gov. I have stayed at other NP and have always gone through the headache and stress of looking for 2 sites to accommodate my large family AND pay double the camping fees. This trip I had to pay double the camping fees because I didn't know we could all stay on the same site, I got spot A65 and A41. didn't need them both.
Also the folks at that I spoke to from Recreation.gov on the phone were very nice and courteous , but not very knowledgeable.

The campground had you tucked away in nature while staying accessible. It was well kept with fire pit rings and picnic tables. Definitely, would stay again!
