So great to be able to camp in a quieter corner of Acadia. As a heads up, there is no camp store/place to buy wood in the campground (my preference normally when camping since you can then support the park directly) so stop in one of those spots you see along the road en route.

We absolutely loved our nights stay was super peaceful and we got to see the stars bright at night and watch the sunrise. Space was perfect even our neighbors were super nice.

TLDR: While the camping experience was extremely mediocre, even by the standards of car camping, the location and the amenities make up for it, IF you plan to be up early and out exploring the park most of the time (which you should be!).

PROS:
Rangers are extremely nice and helpful, and the amenities and facilities are very good (clean bathrooms and showers, ample water and garbage cans). It's a good staging area for doing many of the neaby hikes purely on foot, and location was the main selling point for me.

CONS:
The campsites are extremely close to each other, and there is minimal tree cover / foliage to separate them by sight, and especially by sound. You feel like you're on top of your neighbors, and sound carries extremely far, so it was very noisy and not peaceful at all.

Very clean, felt safe and vibe was awesome! Even had a walk way to the shore line

Great restrooms. Very clean. Organized at front desk. Even helped us get another site for one more night!

Great stay at Blackwoods Campground in Acadia National Park. The campground was well maintained and other campers were very respectful of the quiet hours. I would recommend hiking around Jordan Pond and up to Bubble Rock. We also saw the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain and it was beautiful. Be sure to get there early to avoid traffic/parking constraints!
