The campsites have plenty of room and are spaced nicely from others. Bathrooms are clean and always have toilet paper. Its nice being able to walk to the water and sit on the rocks to star gaze. This year we hiked from Blackwoods up to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, and the convenience of not having to drive was great (it is 8.4 miles there and back). Weve stayed in Blackwoods for 2 years and would do it again. Lovely campsite.

The location was excellent. Close proximity to the Ocean. Clean restrooms, etc. It was an excellent choice in campgrounds for me.

Great campground. Facilities are clean and many campsites are a good size with walking access to the shore.

Blackwoods was incredible, we watched the sunrise over Otter Point from Ocean Path which is a few minutes walk from the site. Great Head trail was our favorite hike, the entire park is beautiful. The loop around Jordan Pond was great, although the hike up South Bubble proved to be to difficult for an eight year old. I would highly recommend Blackwoods to anyone interested in a peaceful, serene, and relaxing camping experience. Well be back, this time with the wife as well.

Loved it! A little loud with families full to the brim but it wasnt too bad considering. Great spot to go hiking some back ways to the rest of the park and had a little spot really close that let out to the coast where its a great spot to watch the sunset and still be ok walking a little to your campground. Overall awesome! :) bathrooms and what not were as per usual on a campground.
