Would have gone 5 star except for the fire ants. Major problem.

There some D-bag Swiss who tried to get in without a reservation whi tried to make their own laziness the responsibility of the Rangers on duty when they attempted to enter the campground without a reservation. The Rangers on duty were the most professional and patient people I've ever seen. Their demeanor with rude and troublesome people was as inspiring as impressive. Beyond that, the grounds were impeccable as always, the facities were top notch. We will be back.

There should be showers available. State Parks in Georgia have showers the big National Parks should provide showers.

Deciding to visit Blackwoods campground in Acadia Natl Park was a no brainer. The campground was well maintained and all went well. It was a bit annoying to reserve one day at a time when applying instead of inserting the dates we would like to stay- including start date and end date. But if that's the process I guess that's it.

Utterly fantastic. Right near the ocean cliffs, convenient access to the best Acadia hiking some of the best accommodations, if not *the* best, that Mt. Desert Island has to offer

This campground has everything we could possibly need. It is also always very clean and very green despite how busy it always is

Overall a very neat place to stay. Could hear the ocean just a few yards away. The closest restroom was out of order during our stay due to some early season water piping issuesthats the only reason I didnt give it 5/5. Pay attention to all the one-way roads both in the campground and nearby, it can make it take longer to get places than you expect.

The campsite comes with a tent pad, fire grate, and picnic table. The bathrooms are in fine condition, but no showers. I think the prices are a little high for what you get, but Blackwoods has great access to the hiking trails.

Had such a great camping trip! Staff was very helpful and camp site was perfect. It was clean, good size, and ours was a nice distance from the ocean path. And all of the campsites were close to the bathrooms and dumpsters. We hiked up Cadillac Mountain via the trail that is connected to Blackwoods campground. It was long but very cool! We also drove up to the top of Cadillac mountain for star gazing and sunrise. Both were beautiful!! You have to get there early for the sunrise to get a good spot. We had a trip trip and hope to go back soon! Which we had more time there!
