Blackwoods campground is a bit busy in Arcadia, but great just the same! Sites are very tidy, and good sized.

Great camp site and staff. Showers are off camp ground, but only a few mins down the road.

Campground was awesome and the site was as well. There are cooking grates attached to the fire rings and enough room for two tents and chairs around the fire for several people. If you get a site that is set back from the road be aware that a large boulder will keep you from parking close to your set up. That was a bit of an inconvenience, but I understand why they don't want vehicles driving into the wooded areas. We were in the B loop. It was very quiet and we hiked the South Ridge trail right from the campsite. We went down the North Rige trail to the bottom and took The Island Adventure bus back to the campground. It was great. The bathrooms are very nice and clean...maybe the best I've seen at a campground. No showers, but they made that pretty clear on the website so we were prepared for that. We can't wait to visit again!

Campsite was nice, had everything I
needed except for water. I thought there'd be a water spigot in each site but there wasn't, it was only at the bathrooms. The little store just outside the gates heading towards Bar Harbor has everything you'd need including great coffee and firewood for cheap. Overall was a great location with good campsites and facilities.

Well upkept site. The bathrooms weren't always conveniently located, but they were well-maintained. Blackwoods was located in a central part of the area, and is only 20 min from Bar Harbor. The one-way nature of the Park Loop was a bit challenging at times, but easy to adapt to.
