The campground was nice! Mostly quiet and laid out in such a way that you arent on top of other campers. The tent sites (which I stayed in) are very spacious. The bathroom were clean, but sometimes lacking supplies, so I recommend bringing your own, just in case. I hiked the Quarry Trail to Otter Cove and then on to Gorham Mountain. It was great to not have to drive anywhere to get to the trailhead.

We had a really nice time here, the campground is in a good location, easy to reach and close enough to Otter Creek and Bar Harbor for grocery shopping or if you need anything for camping. We were aware of the lack of showers and the large size of this campground, however, we were surprised by the general lack of ...so many things. We just came from camping in the White Mountains in Lafayette Campground and Dry River Campground, where you can buy necessities such as firewood (which you are not allowed to bring from far away in any of the places) in a small store, and where you have nice, clean and rather big shower cabins and a designated place to do the dishes. Although Blackwood is rather big, they did not sell or provide anything. As for the campsites, lots of the racks to put pots on top of the fire are broken, not all campsites have trees to put tarps up in case of rain, the campground has no place to do the dishes, and also the bathrooms are very rudimentary in general with almost no option to hang something up, only one tiny mirror next to the door, not above the sinks, lots of insects...in general, we were a bit disappointed. The campsites are also super close together and so you can hear a lot from neighbors. However, in general we had a nice time, the squirrels are super cute!

Beautiful and quiet campsites with a wonderful trail that leads directly to Cadillac.

Had a ball in the park. The camp site was very clean, close to the restrooms, accessible and accommodating. The surrounding areas were just as good. Totally enjoyed the experience, even the neighbors were awesome.

Outstanding campground. I only wish I could have gotten a sunnier spot for my solar panels. We'll be back.
