Loved the campsite and its location. Just wish they had showers.

Nice forested campground within Acadia National Park, but like most NP campgrounds, it is very bare-bones: no showers, hot water or even soap in the bathrooms. We came during peak season and got one of the last spots available. While the sites all seem reasonably private, the campground itself felt noisy with a constantly barking dog, a car alarm that went off throughout the night and multiple cars starting and doors closing very early in the morning (probably to get to a sunrise hike).

What a beautiful campground! Bathrooms were close to so camp sites. Camp sites had lots of trees for shade. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Blackwoods was one of the best campsites I've ever been to. Easy to find sites, clean and accessible facilities throughout the campground, sites themselves were extremely spacious. Blackwoods is walking distance to the ocean with beautiful seaside cliffs. I couldn't ask for more.

The campgrounds are well maintained. The bathrooms were always reasonably clean, and they always had toilet paper. The only negatives were that some people there had dogs that didn't stop barking, and a few people didn't follow the quiet hours. However, on the whole, we loved the area. I loved that there were some trails directly from the campground, and the bus system made it easy to access others. I didn't get to any of the programs at the amphitheater, but I did speak to the rangers at the front for questions about trails and the bus system, and they were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised that while I couldn't access the internet well with my service, I was able to call my elderly parents daily, and that was a huge relief. My husband and I were lucky to get tickets to see the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. It was truly magnificent. I recommend buying the trail map. It was very helpful to us.

Campsites are clean and very convenient. Nice open pit with grilltop for cooking. Good size picnic table on site. Parking spot on site with several locations for pitching tent. Very close to clean and well lit bathroom facilities and water faucet for drinking and washing. Pricing very fair and affordable. Best part is proximity to Acadia park trails and amazing ocean vistas. Highly recommend.

The hike up and views from Cadillac Mountain really can't be overstated - the entire way is just breathtaking, and there's a short trail from the campground directly to the base which is convenient. Aside from that, another must see/do is looking out over the coast on a clear night, hopefully with little/no moon. The stars are amazing, and it is incredibly peaceful just listening to the waves crash on the rocks below. There's at least one great lookout point close to the A loop of the campground that we enjoyed, not sure where else specifically would be good but if you're going to Acadia this should be on your to-do list!
