Excellent campground. Very clean, good space between sites, respectful fellow campers. Easy access. We loved it.

Site B 61. Two boulders have been placed in the access to the site. We have a Toyota Tacoma which barely fit into the parking slot. Further we have a rooftop tent. We were forced to sleep along the edge of the road because you can't get closer than 30 yards to the campsite. This site should be marked ground tent only. Had we shown up with even a full sized pick up truck we wouldn't have been able to park safely in this site. There is a well worn road that could be used, even an extra 10 feet would have made it a safer site.

THERE ARE NO SHOWER FACILITIES in Acadia's Blackwoods campground. I wish m camp spot as closer to the restrooms and with all the rain, I just jumped in my car and drove to it. The parking space was small, and quite a way from the campsite...I didn't like that bc I slept in m car (Honda CRVs are quite comfy with an air mattress) using it as a Mini Motorhome. Rangers at check in were very friendly, informative and nice people.

Great campsite! A little close together but not terrible. Easy check in. Close to bathrooms. Very well located on the island. I'd definitely stay here again.

The campground can be found in southern Acadia National Park and it is well maintained. Our specific camp site was located in the B section and it was a typical tent site. There was a picnic table and fire pit plus a nice, level graded area for the tent itself. Parking is a little tight as you have only a small driveway at the entrance to each site but regardless its nice to have a spot to drive up to. There was plenty of space for a large tent, everything was in excellent condition and our site was a perfect distance from the bathrooms. There are no showers In the bathrooms located within the campground, just toilets and sinks but that was expected. Firewood must be local and cannot be brought in from out of state. Overall, its a beautiful campground that is very well maintained, in a beautiful area of Acadia with plenty of space. Id absolutely recommend it to anyone who visits.

We loved our experience at Blackwoods Campground! The campsite was so spacious and was the perfect distance from Acadia. We will definitely be back!

We arrived in the evening excited for our adventure and, despite the later time, were greeted by energetic and friendly staff who helped us check in. The site was beautiful, clean, and just the right size. The park was beautiful.....I can't wait to return!
