Great experience at this location! The sites and bathrooms were clean and the location was perfect! This site was flat with plenty of space for our tent and vehicle. Only negative thing is that the campsites are close together and sound travels easily through the campground, which was luckily not too much of a problem while we were there.

Very nice campground, beautiful sites, dont expect to have service water or electricity. Otherwise, very, very good!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackwoods and this site! This site is located close to the bathrooms, with a trail neighboring it leading you straight to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with toilet paper and sanitizer. If youd prefer to use soap, maybe bring your own but no paper towels or blow dryers are provided. The site is able to hold a hammock. The fire pit does have some rusting at the bottom with some holes but we were still able to use it the whole stay. The rangers are very nice and helpful, and the access to the shore from the campground is incredible! Service is spotty but enough to be able to text. Would stay here again any time!

What a beautiful place to stay. The park is amazing. We stayed in Blackwoods Campground and couldn't love it enough.

Great location close to bar harbor and the amazing hikes in Acadia. This location would have gotten a 5 star if it weren’t for the following issues:
Dirty underwear left on our site by the previous folks, gross. I didn’t see any site clean up between anyone from the rangers during my stay. Kind of disappointing considering Seawall had rangers cleaning up sites at when I stayed there a while back.
Sites were kind of packed in though they were not busy, they should have spaced it out more for everyone. I understand they want to let vegetation grow in however we felt cramped while the park felt simultaneously empty.
Overall, I suggest staying here, it’s a great campground that’s super accessible to most hikes, especially Cadillac and the ocean path.

Blackwoods campground was such a great location as it was far enough way from the main areas on the island, so it was quiet without constant traffic, but it also had trails to access main hiking trails, so we didn’t need to drive to trailheads. The bathrooms were very clean and the campsite was well taken care of and check in and out was very easy. It was a beautiful wooded location and we can’t wait to be back!
