Fantastic location. Clean sites and clean bathrooms. Lots of short hikes to do with views of the ocean. We were in group A campsites due to the generators of the RVs and campers there was a decent amount of noise during the morning and evening hours- however, there was no noise during the early morning or during the quite hours. Rangers were friendly, welcoming and had knowledge to share.

This campground was simply amazing. The sites are very nicely spaced with interesting features. And I love the short trail to the ocean.

Acadia is beautiful and the Blackwood campground lovely. The bathrooms were clean but there are no showers. We have a GMC full size van and the tent campsites we had have a very large rock in the middle of them to prevent you from driving too far into the site. We were barely out of the roadway.

Blackwoods is an excellent campground with plenty of space between sites for such a popular spot. We especially liked being able to connect with hiking trails from the campground, and even walked to the nearby commercial showers just outside the park entrance. Only "complaint" worth a recommendation is telling campers with dogs they need to keep them under control (from barking). If the dog is a barker, they should be in its vehicle or camper.
