A very quiet area that's close to so many recreational activities. Easy check in procedures, the staff were great, and the only downside was the rain.

First time to Maine and Acadia. Overall a very nice campground and quite convenient location to park and Bar Harbor. We fit our 30' Airstream trailer and 5/8 ton truck with a little room to spare and were still able to setup a large screen shelter. Site was a little unlevel left to right and quite unlevel front to rear requiring us to raise all the trailer wheels up as well - not a problem. T-Mobile prepaid signal and speed were excellent, but subject to regular timeouts - probably deprioritization. ATT prepaid signal was good, stable, and speeds quite usable for streaming and video calls. Verizon post-paid coverage and service was poor but could be used for voice calls. Solar generation in our site was marginal requiring us to chase the sun with our 2 x 100W panels. On a good day we collected 860Wh with continuous monitoring. We did eventually break out our generator on the 4th day. The only downsides to the park were the campers: kids running unattended with electric scooters, skateboards, drones, as well as those collecting wood for campfires and those who did not respect generator hours.

Beautiful area. Island Explorer made travel easy. Park was packed with many travelers.

The campground was more fun than I expected it to be! The ocean was in walking distance, and trails were accessible from all directions. Will be back in August of this year!
