Loved our campsite at Blackwoods! We had site 006 and site 066. We loved 006 for the path to the beach! We must have visited 10 times. Clean bathrooms. Low noise. Wonderful way to be embraced by Acadia.

Beautiful national park. Campsite was as advertised. Bathrooms were clean for campgrounds and available water was good

The campground was very clean and all the campers were very respectful. The rangers at the front desk were very helpful. Good job Acadia.

I was appalled to be charged 50$ to stay one night at Blackwoods Campground. The additional 20$ fee to enter the park is asinine. I understand these funds are used primarily for the hordes of buses that drive the loop road in an effort to reduce traffic and decongest parking at various attractions. Has any thought been given to the amount of pollution produced by these buses? I did not use this bus system, and should not be required to pay for it. Individuals who choose to explore by vehicle vs foot or bicycle should be charged, and parking limited with heavy fines for people who park inappropriately. Edward Abbey, Rachel Carson, John Muir and other naturalists would be disgusted with the system, as am I.
