The campground was very well maintained and the restrooms super clean. I loved staying here, although without GPS, Im not sure I couldve found it! Be aware there are no water or electric hookups for RVs. But its in a great location for exploring Acadia, the rangers were on site daily and Id love to come back!!

We throughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Blackwoods Campground. In and out pull through access was easy. Fabulous location close to Bar Harbor. We have an RV so no showers wasnt an issue for us. I checked out the toilet/sink areas and they were clean.

Enjoyed wooded pull-through sites, bathrooms with flush toilets were clean, sanitizer to use, bring your own soap. Showers are available for a fee, located 1/2 mile from the campground. There is a dump station and potable water. No electric sites or cell service. If you are in a travel trailer with solar, keep in mind that trees and weather may greatly reduce your solar output. Great location to access Cadillac Mountain and other sights/hikes. The campground sites were partially open in the summer of 2021 due to Covid, so there was more distance between occupied campsites. If the campground were filled to capacity, it would be very busy and less private. Privacy wasn't an issue for us because there is so much to see and do at Acadia, we weren't at the campsite except for meals and rest.

Great campground, short walk to the water (but it’s NOT a beach, you come out the ocean path to the tops of rocks far above the water). The rangers were amazingly helpful and friendly, the trash was picked up every day, bathrooms were sparkling clean. Easy access to so much of Acadia.
