i wish we knew where the path to the ocean led to and how far of a walk, but the sign was hard to see and not much information is available! Generally, signage around the park was confusing! We are old people and we parked far to see thunderhole, realized later there were plenty of parking closer to the attraction! Bass harbor lighthouse! wow! had to climb boulders to be able to see half of a lighthouse! Firewood was a decent price, $5 a bundle almost everywhere but make sure to stop at the Walmart in Ellsworth for ice, they have the best price! A small bag at the store outside the park is $5 and a bigger bag, over $7. Gas prices were also pretty good anywhere in the area. I actually also googled if there is any area at the campground to charge your phone and could not find any info, but, I saw some phones were left charging in the restrooms! There is a grocery store downtown Bar Harbor that we went to for bread and milk, that was helpful!

Great place. Almost every campground is a good one. close to alot of attractions

Loved Blackwoods campground! We had fabulous weather. Biked the loop and carriage trails all from the campground. Campers were all quiet and considerate. Bathrooms immaculate! Showers would have been nice
