We had a great time, the bike paths at Zion are fantastic. Highly recommend campers bring your bikes. I hope the park starts working on removing the dead trees at South Campground. It is a real shame that half of the camp ground is sitting empty due to dead trees. The Park is missing out and the campers are missing out on not having all of the sites that are available open. We will return Zion is a beautiful place.

The site description states that this site gets shade. It does NOT get shade at any time of day.And keep all food OUT OF YOUR TENT. The squirrels at South Campground are ruthless and merciless. They will get your snacks. Better not to embarrass yourself trying outsmart them. You will lose.

Just inside the entrance of the park but the traffic and noise wasn't bad. The free shuttles (one into the park, one into Springdale) were very convenient and easy to catch, just a short walk from the campground. Deer visited a few nights and walked through the area. There are showers at Zion Outfitters ($4 for 5 min) but if Zion could make some on the campground like Bryce Canyon, that would be amazing.

The best amenities of any campground I have been to and the people were very friendly. It was overall a great experience and I would highly recommend!

It is important to know you can come and go in your car at any time. We arrived on our first night and midnight and were worried about checking in but it was no problem doing that the next morning. We also went in October and at night it got pretty windy. Easy access to the shuttle and visitor center and Zion brewery!

I loved staying in South Campground! The campsite was nice and deer came up behind it. It was fun to watch the sunrise and sunset from the campground. Everything was close by and riding the shuttle was great. We didnt have to drive anywhere except to move sites. It was so nice to be able to hike in the Park without having to worry about parking.
