We loved the location and the ability to walk to the shuttle bus at the Visitor Center. The views of Zion from the campground were awesome, we wish we could have stayed a few more days. Next time, we want to try to get into the Watchman campground as it has electric hookups. The only complaint is that there was trash in our site when we arrived that we cleaned up (I think it was blown in from another site with the wind). We would definitely return if we are in the area.

This site did have one tree still alive for shade, however the shade location did not help in the hottest part of the day. Most of the trees are dead and pictures online of sites are old and inaccurate. It was extremely hot even at night so we were miserable in a tent!! Half the campground was shutdown for maintenance although I never seen not one person working on anything, nor did I ever see anyone manning the entrance to keep out intruders for safety. Even the main entrances go unmanned at night and anyone can just come into the park... also the bathrooms are awful, no fans or air circulation which is stifling in the heat; can't open the stall door without backing up behind the toilet to give room for the door to swing; and not very clean either. For a shower you have to walk outside the park where the showers were also nasty with hair everywhere. I was miserable this entire trip because of the heat!!! I'll NEVER go back in July or August personally!!! Hiking the narrows was the ONLY relief from the heat in the 3 days I was there!

Could not ask for a better view but be sure to prepare for the morning wind. As a first time visitor, I was caught off guard but luckily I put everything away the night before! Bathrooms were ok, but I didn't bother to shower there (spent plenty of time in the river anyway).

2 nights at South campground were windy but if you pull your tent’s top down and put on ear plugs, you should have no problems sleeping. restroom was very clean, water access was convenient. Site 095 has a lot of shades. Make sure you bring umbrellas and lots of water. Also recommend to hike Angel Landing before it gets too hot. Buses were very frequent and kinda empty, no waiting in lines.

You should probably charge more since putting the sites up 2 weeks in advance gets sold out within 10 seconds. Your supply was way too low for your demand. The booking system was like a crazy feeding frenzy. Otherwise, the campground and the camping experience here were awesome.
