South campsite is a scenic and conveniently located campground in Zion National Park. The 360 degree views are hard to beat

Unsure if I misread this in the description of site 074, but you park about 50 feet away from where you actually set up your tent. Kinda annoying when you’re car camping but if you pack smart, you avoid multiple trips back and forth to your car. This river front site is also off a pedestrian and bike trail (that leads to the visitor center) so be prepared for everyone to pass your site and glance over at you. The site is NOT fully shaded as per Recreation.gov’s description. We visited mid-Sept and it was very hot (for this PNW-tener). Ants and little cockroaches galore but no mosquitoes! Yay! Water stations and restrooms are easily accessible.

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights with a different site each night. We were amazed at how beautiful the views and wildlife were! We hiked the Watchman Trail after getting settled and loved it! It's a brief 3-mile hike roundtrip. We can't wait to come back to Zion.
