My wife and I had an excellent stay in our (rented) 25' RV for 2 nights at Zion NP South Campground. Very nice setting, well spaced sites, gorgeous views and close to the Visitor's Center, market and the Zion Shuttle. We'd definitely stay here again!

The campground itself was generally fine. It was nice to have some shade trees and the sites were pretty level. Now let's talk about the bathrooms. I work in construction and use job site porta potties. I would use a thousand nasty sun-soaked hot steamy job site porta potties before I ever used the nasty disgusting bathrooms at Zion's South campground again. There were used feminine products strewn everywhere, the toilets were disgusting, the toilet paper was frequently out, the sinks were nasty, and you felt like you were going to get venereal disease from even being in the bathroom. That was over a several day period. I don't even want to know what the men's bathrooms looked like. If you're staying at the South campground, walk the extra quarter mile up to the visitor center, the bathrooms won't be much better, but at least you won't get a disease from them???

Flash flooding closed the bathroom nearest us for the next two days and people playing music music late into the night was annoying but overall it was a good experience.

The views from this site were good and it was an easy walk to the shuttle station but the lights from the bathroom were pretty disturbing all night. Also, it was almost impossible to get our stakes into the ground it was so hard. It was very windy at night and I thought our tent would blow away with us inside. Also, there's no showers to places to wash dishes on the campground.
