Great location in Zion Park and easy access to trams that will take you to trailheads in the park.

We had a wonderful time at the South Campground at Zion. We spent 4 nights here in October. The campground was clean, and reasonably quiet. The views of the watchman throughout the campground are great. It is in a great location near the bike path and close to the shuttle for going further into Zion. The bathrooms were clean and had running water and soap.

First time. Bus system through the park was excellent and often!

This site was very much on a 6% or more slope. No shade, the area had been burned recently as of Spring 2021. It is unfortunate, but due to the short term requirement for reservation (our original reservation was for the wrong week) and the popularity of the park, an adjacent campsite held a party late into the night. Without any campground host available, no one enforced the 10PM quiet hours. The other adjoining campsite had a massive black Class A RV running a generator late into the night. The combination of party music and generators made it difficult to sleep. I would choose a different spot on the edge of the campground if the option were available to me.

The wildlife visitation early in the morning was very nice.
