Campsites are all on top of each other with no trees in between, so don’t expect any privacy. You can’t shower there but you can walk 5 minutes and shower right outside the park gates and have two people shower for the price of one night at the campground when there’s showers in the private lodges deeper in the park. Save the frustration and stay at a nicer campsite outside the park.

Yes,It’s a busy campground with people arriving at all hours. However people are respectful of the quiet hours , the rangers enforce the rules AND the location is phenomenal. 5 min walk to the visitor center and a 10 min walk to town if you want to eat out.

I was concerned about camping in the vicinity of so many other campers, but the campsites were very large and neighbors were a nice distance away. The campground was very quiet after dark. Ill be back!

Thank you for us late planners being able to reserve a spot just 2 weeks ahead! South Campground was clean, well spaced and very quiet since everyone is mostly out exploring all day. It was so great to spend 3 nights in the Park with easy access to the visitor center/shuttle pick up and bike trail.

You're actually in the National Park with beautiful mountains in the background! Be sure that if you leave your camp (to get food or rent gear) that you bring your paid national park pass with you because you will need it to get back in. Within walking distance to the visitor center shuttle stop. We used Zion Outfitter for dry suit rental instead of Zion Adventure company for the Narrows hike because it was within walking distance and they had longer hours, allowing us to pick up the gear the night before at no additional cost. Clean bathrooms at the campground. Very minimal privacy but the other amenities and proximity to everything makes up for it.
