Zion is truly a jewel but we have lived in Las Vegas for 30 years and have seen how it has changed. The park is over crowded, facilities are being taxed to the limit and the natural beauty and peaceful vibe it once had is gone.

Bathrooms were not very clean and rundown.

Location, value and scenery are superb. Tent sites are a little on the smaller side and the bathrooms could be cleaner.

Was awesome being inside Zion and walking distance to the shuttle. Wish it had been a little quieter, you can hear the shuttles going from bout 5:30 am until 8 pm. Bathrooms pretty clean.

South Campground is great, good facilities and water filling stations, beautiful views from the campsites and you can walk in to the visitor center and shuttles. Our particular campsite had a ton of ant nests below/on the trees which was slightly annoying but no real issues. There are also squirrels living here - don't feed them, they are massive!

Almost everything was heat about the experience except for the ant infestation. Unfortunately, I was told that ants were part of nature and the Rangers would not spray to kill ants so we just needed to sleep on top of the several thousand ants. My 70 year old mom chose to sleep in the car (front seat since she had tons of luggage too).

My campsite had an excellent view and easy access to the shuttle, but also an ant infestation and fine dust that got all over everything during a moderate breeze.

Since this campground does not have shower facilities, it is helpful to know that you can walk just past the Zion entrance, where there are laundry and shower facilities (small fee applies). we enjoyed our stay very much.
