My best camping experience ever. Our campsite had views of half dome on one side and views of the Merced River on the other. It was a very short trip to the river bank where we could also see Yosemite falls.

Solid campsite and on the edge of the campground by the river. Flat ground, bathroom with flushable toilets. Potable water at the campground. Check-in was easy and shuttle system is great. Super convenient to everything in Yosemite. The campsites are right next to each other but people were respectful and quiet at quiet hours.

Campsite 411 was a great site. You can see the river and Half Dome. However this was not one of our better trips. Our neighbor had their tent up against our bear box and had their other tent partially in our site. We had to set up our tent right next to their tent. It rained 5 days in a row. I love Yosemite and this site is great if you have nice neighbors. North Pine campground is our favorite campground.

North Pines lottery system is great for us because we have always gotten at least one site (there are 6 of us who enter the lottery). We are also happy with the limited evening hours for campfires and having no fires in the morning. Check in and check out times are reasonable. Bathrooms are always clean, as are campsites. One improvement would be to have sites arranged in a Progressive Tranquility format.

LOVE Yosemite and this campground is well situated and not as crowded as Upper Pines.

We stayed on site 402 and it had a wonderful view of Half Dome. Great tree shade and close to the river. The water level in Sept was perfect for slow rafting on tubes in the chilly water. Gorgeous weather, challenging hikes, friendly camping neighbors, all made our trip one to remember.

Campsite was directly across from the river so we enjoyed the sounds the entire time. Got to see a mama bear and cub across the river this time. Weather was in the 90s so having shade was a must. One of our best trips ever to Yosemite!

Site 511 was great. We were able to fit a 6 and 8 person tent for the 5 of us. Being in the last loop of the campground, there was very little traffic. Also a short walk to some nice swimming spots. I would stay here again.

We had the best campsite across from the Merced river and close to the confluence of Tenaya and Merced

I love North Pines Campground! Right at the Merced River confluence with Tenaya Creek, walking distance from both Curry Village and the Ahwahnee (via the bike trail), and Mirror Lake if you are up for a longer walk. Set in the best spot in the valley!

Beautiful Campgroundfriendly and polite rangers/host!! Site is a corner, awkward layout, small tents only. We were lucky as the neighbor was site was empty. Bear paws marking on the bearbox next morning.

I arrived at the West entrance to the park and was told by the Park Ranger at the gate that my campground reservation at North Pines was completely on the other side of the park. I rode late into the day on a motorcycle from the West entrance of the park all the way across the park to the area of Tuolumne Meadows to discover that there was no such campground in that area of the park!Fortunately, I arrived in the dark and completely exhausted to another campground and there was 2 open sites available. The camp ground host was super gracious and allowed me to camp in a very crowded campsite after a very frustrating experience. To those that enter this park without foreknowledge of the park layout and campgrounds I issue a very strong WARNING. Do not listen to the park gate attendants with "official ranger hats". They do not know what they are talking about and will give you misinformed information. Upon arrival to the East side campground, the campground hosts who listened to my story said welcome to California!Again, campers be aware of your own directions and routes and do not depend on the advice of the park rangers as it appears they are untrained and oblivious to the layout of the park and where the actual campsites are located.
